Check doors

Check the attic

Check insulation R-value or thickness

Change air conditioner filters

Check ductwork for dirt streaks

Insulate ducts and pipes that travel through unheated areas

Replace bulbs with CFL bulbs

Instal or properly set dimmers

Find ways to use more natural light

If possible upgrade to new energy efficient equipment

Unplug electronics while not in use
